कहानी
ये फिल्म की कहानी एक किराएदार और मकान मालिक की है, किराएदार की भूमिका में आयुष्मान खुराना और मकान मालिक की भूमिका में अमिताभ बच्चन नजर आए है, जिनके बीच दर्शकों को जबरदस्त कॉमेडी देखने को मिलेगी।
एक हवेली जिसका नाम है फातिमा महल और जिसके किराएदार हैं बांके यानि कि आयुष्मान खुराना। जिसकी कंजूसी की कोई सीमा नहीं है। हवेली की मालकिन हैं बेगम (फर्रूख ज़फर) लेकिन हवेली का मालिक खुद को समझता है मिर्ज़ा (अमिताभ बच्चन) जो कि इतना लालची है कि बस खुद को नहीं बेच रहा है तो गनीमत है। गुलाबो सिताबो कहानी है इसी किराएदार और मकान मालिक की नोंक झोंक की। किराएदार जो इस फातिमा महल में सात पीढ़ियों से रहता है और किराए के नाम पर 30 रूपया देता है। वहीं मकान मालिक जो किराएदार को घर से निकाल देना चाहता है।
